FAQ

Following are answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about our deceased horse and large animal removal, burial and cremation services.

If you have additional questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are here to support you with care and compassion during this challenging time.

How do you transport and remove deceased animals?
We respond to each call with two trained professionals who are experienced in handling large animals with care and dignity. Using a specialized skid and harness system, we ensure the animal is respectfully and securely transported. This system avoids the use of chains or direct winching, maintaining the highest standard of care during the entire process. Our approach is discreet, efficient, and designed to provide comfort during a difficult time.
Do you handle cremation services?
Yes, we coordinate all cremation services with Pet Cremation Services and Equine, located in Columbus, Ohio. We manage all arrangements on your behalf, ensuring a seamless process during this difficult time. Once the cremation is complete, we personally deliver your animal’s ashes back to you. You will receive a single bill from us that covers all services, including transportation and cremation, so you don’t have to deal with multiple vendors or invoices.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve all of Ohio and the surrounding states, including parts of Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. If you’re outside this service area, please contact us to discuss potential arrangements.
How much notice do you require for scheduling?
We are available to schedule services ahead of time and can coordinate directly with your veterinarian to ensure proper timing. This helps reduce the need for you to manage time changes or additional communication. Additionally, we are available 24/7 for emergency services to support you whenever the need arises.
What payment arrangements do you offer?
After the service is completed, we will send an invoice to your email for payment by credit card. We also accept checks, cash, and Venmo for your convenience. We understand that this can be an unexpected expense, and if necessary, we can arrange extended payment plans to help ease the financial burden. Please don’t hesitate to discuss payment options with us.
What should I do to prepare for your arrival?
It is ideal if the animal is in an open, accessible area, but we understand that this is not always possible. With our specialized skid and harness system, we can easily move an animal out of a stall or from a pasture. Our team is equipped to handle various scenarios with care and professionalism.
Can I cancel or change my scheduled service?
Yes, we are very flexible with appointments. Whether you need to cancel, reschedule, or make adjustments, we will work with you to accommodate your needs. We recommend giving as much notice as possible to ensure smooth coordination.
Do you follow local regulations for animal removal and burial?
Absolutely. We adhere to all local, state, and federal guidelines for the removal and burial of animals. Our team is experienced in navigating these regulations to ensure compliance and environmental responsibility.
Can you assist with burials
Yes, we offer burial services in compliance with local regulations. Our burial process includes the use of a harness system to respectfully lower the animal into a properly dug grave, typically seven feet deep. Please contact us for more details and pricing.
